School Advisory Council

The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a school-based group intended to represent the school, the community, and those persons closest to the students that shares the responsibility for supporting the school's continuous improvement.

The SAC is responsible for final decision-making at the school relating to the annual implementation of a Schoolwide Improvement Plan (SIP). The SAC assists in the annual preparation of both the SIP and the school's annual budget, as well as the evaluation of the SIP.

The SAC should be composed of the principal and an appropriately balanced number of teachers, education support employees, students, parents, and other business and community citizens who are representative of the ethnic, racial, and economic community served by the school. Parents are encouraged to join the School Advisory Council. If you are interested in becoming a member of our SAC this school year, please contact Melissa Torres or Natalie Muldoon at 386-447-1500.


Meetings
The SAC meets monthly with the Principal and SAC Chair. Attendance at SAC meetings is extremely important, and all parents and community members are invited to attend. Meetings for the 2021–2022 school year will be held on the second Thursday of each month, at 8:00am in the Belle Terre Elementary School Media Center.
