About Us

Our Administration

Our school strives to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The dedication of our teachers and the rich tapestry of cultures representative of our community make BTES one of Flagler County’s premiere destinations for teaching and learning.

BTES has been a top rated school and the hallmark for Academic Excellence in Flagler County. Our school thrives on the tireless dedication of our teachers and the unparalleled support from parents and community members. Belle Terre’s top priority has always been fostering environment in which every student put in our care can flourish.

The mission at BTES is to provide a solid educational foundation as we prepare students to transition from classrooms to careers. We will do this by hiring and retaining highly qualified teachers, exposing our students to opportunities within our flagship program, and providing students with an academically challenging curriculum, thus moving our students “Stronger, Faster, and Higher” in all of their pursuits towards graduating with excellence.

Our staff’s commitment to student success is truly second to none. Veteran 5th grade teacher, Mr. Ed Wolff exemplifies the type of outstanding educator housed within our walls. Mr. Wolff was recognized as the district’s Teacher Of The Year and by the State of Florida through the Macy’s Magic of Teaching Award. For the Bobcat family of educators, students, parents, and community supporters, it has never been just about academic superiority; it is about pushing our students forward so that they will continue to excel and thrive throughout their school career and graduate with our motto of “Excellence is the Norm, Not the Exception!”

We believe that a 21st century learner must leave our school with the necessary skills to become a truly global, digital citizen. Therefore, we focus on Superintendant James Tager’s “Big 4” which are:

  • Graduation Rate

  • Early Warning System

  • Acceleration

  • Support Facilitation

With these aspects in mind, BTES Flagship Program was built around the studies of innovation, robotics, engineering, and computer science. Students must be afforded the opportunity to interact with these forms of next generation technology in order to maximize their creative and academic potential. To this end, we have created the state’s first, fully paperless digital classrooms and have pioneered learning labs that are based on models from some of the world’s most elite institutions of higher learning. Our students have also engineered and built a self sustaining “green energy” outdoor classroom that allows for student led experimentation and inquiry. All of this advanced technology is integrated into the daily lessons taught on our campus affording students the opportunity to work collaboratively both within our walls, and through the boundless global reach of the worldwide web.

Our Bobcat family is sincerely grateful for the support of parents, teachers, and the community as it takes a complete “team” to ensure the success of a child. We couldn’t do it without your advocacy. Our school encourages parents and community members to partner with us in order to create a rich and vibrant school culture. From volunteering in classrooms and the front office to becoming active in our wonderful parent teacher organization, your active support combined with our best professional efforts will ensure that our campus is truly a place where “Excellence is the Norm, Not the Exception!”

Educationally Yours,

Dr. Terence “TC” Culver
